Afghanistan faces ongoing crises of poverty, displacement, and disaster. After a powerful earthquake reduced entire villages to rubble, survivors were left without homes, food, or care. HHRD provides emergency aid, clean water, and long-term recovery support to help families rebuild with dignity.
HHRD has been committed to Afghanistan since 2014 as a registered NGO, supporting 2,600 orphans and empowering 800+ more annually through skills and livelihood programs. Each year, we complete 30 water projects, provide healthcare and nutrition services, and run a physical rehabilitation program for those in need. Beyond immediate aid, Afghans also benefit from seasonal initiatives like Ramadan Food Packages, Qurbani, and Winter Provisions.
As a leader to empower lives, creating opportunities and strengthen the bond of humanity.
In 2025 alone, over 1.9 million Afghans have returned from Iran and Pakistanβmany arriving in desperate conditions. Families are crossing borders with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and children are visibly malnourished. With limited access to food, water, and shelter, this sudden influx has overwhelmed local infrastructure and host communities. Urgent support is needed to provide returnees with safety, dignity, and a chance to rebuild their lives.

HHRD currently supports 2,700 children with disabilities across Pakistan, Jordan, Kenya, and Afghanistan. These children often face marginalization due to poverty, prejudice, and lack of services, preventing them from fully participating in society. Your contribution of $720 per year, or $60 per month, can help provide essential care, education, and opportunities, giving these children a chance to thrive with dignity and hope.
