What is the Education Support Program (ESP)?

The Education Support Program provides educational opportunities for underprivileged children and youth, from early childhood through university level. ESP ensures that poverty, displacement, or crisis does not end a child’s education.

ESP aims to:
• Improve access to education for orphans and vulnerable children
• Support educational institutions and teachers
• Encourage out of school children to join nonformal learning centers
• Promote emotional, intellectual, and social development
• Strengthen entire education systems through teacher training and capacity building

ESP provides:
• Tuition assistance and exam fees
• School supplies, uniforms, shoes, and books
• Food, transportation, and boarding support
• Scholarships for higher education
• Mentoring, tutoring, and career counseling

• Technology support for remote or underserved areas

ESP operates in more than 20 countries, including: Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Jordan, Lebanon, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Afghanistan, Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Haiti, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Ghana, Bosnia, and more.

Yes. ESP collaborates with the Orphan Support Program, Healthcare & Nutrition Program, Skills Development, and Shelter Relief Program to provide holistic support for children and families.

ESP provides:
• Tuition assistance
• School supplies and uniforms
• Food and transportation
• Scholarships for primary, secondary, and higher education
• Laptop distribution
• Learning Centers for refugees
• Youth leadership and career development programs

Through HESP, students receive full tuition or full ride university scholarships
covering:
• Tuition fees
• Hostel facilities

• Pocket money (need based)
• Career counseling and internships for fu

Yes. ESP supports:
• Rohingya – Childcare Centers in Bangladesh
• Syrian refugee students in Jordan and Lebanon
• Mobile Learning Centers in camps and remote areas

ESP is funded through donations from individuals, organizations, and supporters  who believe in the power of education to transform lives.

One of the only nonprofits providing full-ride university scholarships to orphans
• 60% of HHRD Orphan Support Program graduates enter university
• Serving both orphans and vulnerable non orphan students
• Students from families earning less than $5/day becoming first generation graduates
• Teacher training networks such as the Baithak Program in Pakistan
• Expansion to Ghana, Ecuador, and Colombia in 2025
• HHIRS (Mansehra, Pakistan) providing full ride DPT/BS scholarships to deserving
orphans — with 10 graduates just in 2025.

Yes, HHRD provides a report on students’ academic progress. Donors receive photos, report cards, and graduates update each year. However, for our HESP students, to honor their privacy, we provide their progress but not the progress report.
