OVERVIEW

Dhul-Hijjah, the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred time of reflection, unity, and devotion for Muslims worldwide. It begins with the Hajj pilgrimage and culminates in Eid al-Adha, which honors the profound faith of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). In a moment of divine mercy, Allah SWT replaced his intended sacrifice of Prophet Ismail (AS) with livestock—an act that symbolizes obedience and trust in Allah’s plan. This powerful legacy is renewed each year during this blessed month.

Your Qurbani symbolizes sacrifice, charity, and empathy for those less fortunate. It is a time when we reaffirm our commitment to compassion and solidarity, walking hand in hand with faith as our guide.

Join Our Journey of Service

Dhul Hijjah, especially its first ten days, is among the most sacred periods in Islam—marked by Hajj, the Day of Arafah, and Eid al-Adha. It’s a time of worship, sacrifice, and charity. At HHRD, we begin by planning Zabiha to serve families most in need.

Global Udhiyah/Qurbani Program

Obedience and Trust

Donating Zabiha through HHRD transforms tradition into global compassion—providing meat to orphans, widows, and the needy. It’s a meaningful act of worship, spreading nourishment, gratitude, and mercy to those who need it most.

Easy and Secure
Share Joy Worldwide

HHRD follows Islamic guidelines to select, sacrifice, and distribute animals worldwide. Donors give a goat, sheep, or lamb, while larger animals are shared among seven. With hygiene, affordability, and skilled teams, your Qurbani becomes a meaningful act of worship that brings relief to those who need it most.

FAQ

As a leader to empower lives, creating opportunities and strengthen the bond of humanity.

What is the Education Support Program (ESP)?

The Education Support Program is an initiative by HHRD (Helping Hand for Relief and Development) that aims to provide educational opportunities and support to underprivileged children and youth from elementary school through university level.

The main goals of the ESP include improving access to education for orphans and vulnerable children, supporting educational organizations and institutions, developing and empowering teachers, encouraging out-of-school children to attend non-formal learning centers, and promoting students’ emotional, intellectual, and social development.

The ESP operates by providing tuition assistance, school supplies, food, transportation, and other necessary support to enable children from underprivileged families to attend school. It also offers scholarships for higher education, supports the renovation and upgrading of educational institutions, and provides mentoring and career counseling services.

The ESP operates in various countries across different regions, including Pakistan, Bangladesh, countries in the Middle East and North Africa (such as Jordan and Lebanon), countries in Southeast Asia (such as Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, and Malaysia), Nepal, African countries (such as Somalia, Kenya, and Uganda), Afghanistan, India, Mexico,
Bosnia, and Haiti.

Yes, the ESP often collaborates with other HHRD programs, such as the Orphan Support Program and the Healthcare and Nutrition Program, to provide an integrated approach to humanitarian aid and support children through different stages of their lives.

The ESP provides a wide range of educational support, including tuition assistance, school supplies, food, transportation, scholarships (for primary, secondary, and higher education), laptop distribution, provision of school buses, establishment of learning centers, and youth leadership programs.

The ESP supports higher education through initiatives like the Higher Education Support Program (HESP), which awards scholarships to deserving graduates of the Orphan Support Program and other needy youth, covering tuition fees, hostel facilities, laptops, medical facilities, pocket money, and other expenses.

Yes, the ESP recognizes the importance of education for refugee children and provides support through initiatives such as learning centers for displaced Rohingya children in Bangladesh, educational support for Syrian refugees in Jordan and Lebanon, and mobile learning centers in refugee camps.

The ESP works closely with local partners, community leaders, and educational institutions to identify and select beneficiaries based on their financial need, academic performance, and potential for success.

Yes, the ESP also supports extracurricular activities, such as cultural programs, Quran recitation, drawing, gardening, and psychosocial support services, to promote the overall well-being and development of students.

The ESP is funded through donations and contributions from individuals, organizations, and other supporters who believe in the importance of education and wish to support underprivileged children and youth.

Individuals or organizations interested in supporting or getting involved with the ESP can visit HHRD’s website or contact their local HHRD office to learn about donation opportunities, volunteering, or other ways to contribute to the program’s efforts.
