HHRD’s Call to Response Ground Efforts Underway

The earthquake has caused widespread destruction, damaging more than 82,000 homes, including nearly 15,000 that were completely destroyed. Critical infrastructure has also suffered, with 884 public facilities damaged, along with 130 roads and 47 bridges, making access to remote communities increasingly difficult. Through a trusted local partner, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) has launched emergency relief efforts, initially serving approximately 880 families with seven-day Dignity Food Survival Packages containing essential food, clean drinking water, and psychosocial first aid support.
