HHRD’s Call to Response Ground Efforts Underway

Nepalese authorities have mobilized thousands of army and police personnel, while federal, provincial and local governments coordinate rescue and relief operations; helicopters are being used to reach communities isolated by damaged roads and bridges. Through its Nepal INGO presence and Nepal Relief Fund, HHRD’s local team is mobilizing support to provide essential humanitarian assistance to families affected by this devastating emergency.

SUPPORT AND DEDICATION

HHRD has been actively engaged in Nepal since 2015, extending our services to both the local Nepalese communities and Rohingya refugees. Our ongoing efforts include the care of 700 orphans, the construction of multiple water projects each year, skills development and livelihood programs benefitting over 150 trainees annually, a comprehensive healthcare and nutrition initiative that includes medical in-kind gifts, and seasonal projects such as Ramadan food distribution, Eid-ul-Adha meat distribution, and winter provisions distribution.
