KIND-R ยท Why KIND-R
Why KIND-R
Neurological illness is the largest source of disability on earth, and Pakistan has almost no rehabilitation to answer it. KIND-R was built by an organisation that has been doing this work for twenty years.

After the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan, thousands were left with debilitating injuries.
So you funded the Comprehensive Physical Rehabilitation Program.
Seven centers, one in every province, giving survivors somewhere to go.
The centers needed physical therapists, and Pakistan was not producing them.
So you built an institute to train them.
HHIRS treats around 300 patients a day and trains around 300 therapists a year.
The need is still far larger than all of it.

So youโre building KIND-R.
Integrating and expanding everything before it. Neurology, imaging, devices and every therapy in one hospital, because rehabilitation alone cannot treat the brain.
